Can I follow social media sources in Inoreader?

Yes. With Pro you can follow Bluesky feeds, public Facebook pages and public Telegram channels from Add feed in the tab bar, and YouTube channels and playlists work on every plan. Bluesky and Facebook need your account connected once. Telegram doesn't.

Add a social feed

  1. Click Add feed in the tab bar.
  2. Choose Bluesky feed, Facebook page or Telegram channel in the Add new list.
  3. Connect your account when asked (Bluesky, Facebook), then search or paste an address and click Follow.
The Add feed page in Inoreader with Bluesky feed, Facebook page and Telegram channel in the list of sources.
The Add new list holds the social sources next to websites, newsletters and podcasts.

The three networks

On Bluesky you connect your account with an app password and then follow search results, accounts and your Home timeline. See How do I follow Bluesky feeds? On Facebook you sign in with your Facebook account and paste the address of a public page. See How do I follow Facebook pages? Telegram needs no account: search public channels by keyword or name, or paste a t.me address, as How do I follow Telegram channels? describes. Private Telegram channels and groups can't be followed.

A YouTube channel or playlist is followed like a website: paste its address under Website, on any plan. Can I follow YouTube channels and playlists in Inoreader? has the steps.

Social feeds sit in the sidebar like any other feed and work with folders, filters and rules. Preferences > Content > Feeds filters them by type (Facebook feeds, Telegram feeds, Bluesky feeds), and the connected accounts are listed in Preferences > Share, save, login on the Social feeds tab.

Follow Bluesky without Pro

Without Pro, a Bluesky account can still be followed as a plain RSS feed: paste its bsky.app profile address under Website. Websites and YouTube channels work on every plan, and what types of sources you can follow lists the rest.

Plans and limits

Bluesky, Facebook and Telegram feeds are Pro: 30 of each, with a Team that has a shared pool sharing 100 or 150 of each across the team and custom plans able to add more. When Pro ends, the feeds are kept but stop updating until Pro returns. Find the sources worth following covers the other ways to find sources.
