Can I edit a monitoring feed later?

Yes. Right-click the monitoring feed in the sidebar and choose Edit monitoring feed. The builder opens with the current query and scope, and Save monitoring feed applies your change.

Edit the query

1. In the sidebar, right-click the monitoring feed and choose Edit monitoring feed.
2. Change the pills, the Exclude group or the Monitor in scope.
3. Wait for the Preview to update, then click Save monitoring feed.

The builder shows the stored query as pills. A query the pills can't show opens as text with the note "The current query is not supported by the query builder." You can edit the text there or click Discard current query and start over with the builder. A feed limited to one language shows "This monitoring feed only matches articles in German." (with the feed's language) with Remove language filter, and a folder or feed scope that no longer exists falls back to Newsfeed. The effect of saving

Saving replaces the feed's articles: the current ones are removed and up to 20 matches of the new query from the past year take their place, and new matches arrive from then on. A star or tag you added to a removed article moves to the original article in its own feed, so nothing you kept is lost. A feed that had been switched off is switched back on, and the new query is applied right away. Inoreader confirms with "Monitoring feed Electric vehicles updated." (with your feed's name) and opens the feed.

Rename or remove the feed

The name isn't part of the builder: choose Rename feed in the same menu. Unfollowing the monitoring feed removes its saved query as well. A monitoring feed over a team folder can be edited only by the person who created it. Older monitored keywords, shown as tags, open the Edit your search query dialog from the same menu entry and are saved with Save search.
