A dashboard in Inoreader with widgets for new articles, trending articles and statistics

Your start page

A dashboard tells you what is new before you open a single feed. You build it from widgets and decide what each one shows.

Feed and folder widgets

Show the newest articles of a folder, a feed or all your feeds, or the latest matches of a monitoring feed. The same widget can appear several times for different folders.

Activity widgets

Other widgets show what is trending among Inoreader users, the articles you tagged, saved or read last, your reading statistics and a big unread counter.

Several dashboards

Keep as many dashboards as you need, each with its own widgets and a layout of one, two or three columns, and make Dashboards the page the web app opens to.

Team dashboards

On Team plans, admins build dashboards the whole team sees, with Team folders, channels, tags, Intelligence reports and digests.

Build your dashboard

  1. Open Dashboards at the top of the tab bar. The default dashboard shows your most read feeds, trending articles and recommended sources.
  2. Click Add widget at the bottom of a column, then choose Configure widget in the widget's menu to pick what it shows, such as a folder, a feed, a tag or a monitoring feed.
  3. Drag the widgets into place. If one dashboard is not enough, add another with the plus in the tabs and choose its layout when you create it.
  4. Click the three-dot menu at the top right and choose Set as start page. The web app then opens on Dashboards, with the dashboard you viewed last.

Use cases

A morning overview

Put your work folders, your brand's monitoring feed and the trending list on one screen, and catch up in two minutes before the day starts.

A topic wall

Add one widget for each folder of a research subject, so you can see the newest article in each of them at once.

A shared screen for the team

Build a Team dashboard with the shared folders, the channel for flagged stories and the week's automated reports.

Frequently asked questions

What goes on a dashboard?

Widgets. They can show the new articles from all your feeds, a folder or one feed, what is new in your most read feeds, trending articles and the latest results of a monitoring feed. Other widgets list the articles you recently tagged, saved or read, show your reading statistics and unread counts, recommend sources, list failing feeds or bring you the latest from the Inoreader team.

Can I have more than one?

Yes. You can make a dashboard for each way you use Inoreader, for example one for work and one for leisure, each with its own widgets and layout. You switch between them from the tabs at the top.

Can I change the layout?

Partly. You choose one, two or three columns when you create a dashboard, and from then on you can drag the widgets where you want them and use the same widget several times for different folders. For another number of columns, create a new dashboard.

Can a dashboard be my start page?

Yes, on the web. Choose Set as start page and the web app opens on Dashboards, showing the dashboard you viewed last.

Is there a dashboard for a team?

Yes. On Team plans, admins build shared dashboards that every member sees, with widgets for Team folders, channels, tags, uploads, reports and digests.

Is it free?

Yes. Dashboards and their widgets are available on every plan. Team dashboards need a Team plan.
