Inoreader Intelligence: AI summaries, reports and mentions for the news you follow
Inoreader Intelligence works on the sources you follow instead of replacing them. Summarize an article or ask it a question, run a report over a folder of articles every morning, and follow the companies and people your feeds mention. It runs on OpenAI, Mistral or Anthropic, with your own key if you want.
See pricing- ProPro includes summaries, mentions, suggested tags and transcripts. Reports and your own API key come with the Intelligence reports add-on.
- Team IntelligenceTeam Intelligence plans include reports, automated reports and your own API key for the whole team.
What it does
Inoreader Intelligence lets you use AI on the articles you already collect, and the AI never decides what you see. Under the title of every article you will find Summarize. One click gives you a general summary, the arrow next to it opens the predefined prompts, and a box lets you write a prompt of your own or ask a question about the text. Rules can summarize new articles as they arrive, and digests can include a summary of a whole issue.
Inoreader also reads each article for the companies, products, places and public figures in it and lists these mentions at the top. Each mention opens a page with its coverage over time, its latest articles from your account and from every public feed, the sources that cover it most and the other mentions that appear with it. From that page, you can follow the mention as a monitoring feed or use it in a rule with one click. Inoreader can also suggest tags based on the text and the tags you already use, and podcast and video episodes get transcripts, topics and article versions.
To work on many articles at once, create an Intelligence report. Choose a folder, a tag, a monitoring feed or a Team channel, and a prompt that summarizes, compares, finds trends or extracts facts. Automated reports run daily or weekly and arrive as new articles. You also choose the AI platform: OpenAI, Mistral AI or Anthropic. With the Intelligence reports add-on or a Team Intelligence plan, you can use your own key and model.
How it works
- Open an article and click Summarize, or click the arrow next to it to choose a prompt or ask a question of your own.
- Hover over a mention at the top of the article to search for it, follow it or open its details page.
- To create a report, select the articles or pick a source, choose a prompt and generate the report. To get a report on a schedule, set it up under Automate, Automated reports.
- Under Preferences, Intelligence, choose the AI platform, the summary language and your persona. If your plan allows it, connect your own key there as well.
What people use it for
A morning briefing for your team
Set up an automated report over your monitoring feeds that runs every day at 8 and follows the format your team agreed on.
Tracking a company, not a keyword
Follow a competitor as a mention across every public feed. You see a trend line of its coverage, and a common word in its name does not bring in false matches.
Getting through a long read
Ask for the key points of a 6,000-word piece, then ask a question about the part that matters to you. The answer comes from the text of the article.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Intelligence do with an article?
It summarizes the article, runs prompts on it and answers your questions about it. Click Summarize under the title for a summary, or choose one of the predefined prompts, such as key points, a translation of the gist or an explanation, or write a prompt of your own. Summaries stay with the article and are searchable, and you can pin and reorder the prompts.
What are Intelligence reports?
A report analyzes many articles at once. You choose a folder, a tag, a monitoring feed or a Team channel, and a predefined or custom prompt that summarizes, compares perspectives, finds trends or extracts facts. Automated reports run on a schedule and arrive as new articles, which you can annotate, share or export.
What are mentions?
Mentions are the companies, products, places and public figures identified in each article, and they are shown at the top of it. Each mention has a page with its coverage trend and latest articles. You can search for a mention, follow it as a monitoring feed or use it as a condition in a rule or filter, so Apple the company is kept apart from Apple the fruit. For now, mentions are generated for articles in English, French and German.
Which AI does Inoreader use?
OpenAI by default. You can switch to Mistral AI or Anthropic under Preferences, Intelligence. With the Intelligence reports add-on or a Team Intelligence plan, you can connect your own API key and pick the model, and a team can set a default for everyone and let members switch.
What is sent to the AI provider?
Only public article data, which means the title, date, source, author and text. Nothing about you is sent, your data is not used for training, and AI never filters or changes your feeds and articles. Innologica, the company behind Inoreader, is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant.
What are the limits?
Pro and Custom plans include 1 million Intelligence tokens a month per account. Team plans pool 5 or 10 million tokens a month across the whole team, depending on the plan. You can see your usage under Preferences, Billing and usage, and you can buy more tokens at any time.
